George Michael is now out of the hospital. An update on the singer's website says he's been discharged from the medical facility as he continues to rest and recuperate from injuries suffered earlier this month in a car crash. The post adds that George "is well and thanks everyone for all the messages of support." Michael was a passenger in a Range Rover that was involved in a single car accident on England's M1 motorway on May 16th.
While reps for the former Wham! frontman initially said the singer only had "superficial cuts" from the crash, he was airlifted to a nearby hospital. A witness later told the UK's "Sun" that Michael had a bad cut on his forehead, and that his face, teeth, and back of his head were bloody.
Five days after the crash Michael's rep gave a revised description of the pop star's injuries, saying George suffered a few "bumps and bruises to the head," and that his extended hospital stay was simply a precaution.
