Cissy Houston's new book 'Remembering Whitney' just hit the shelves, but her granddaughter is not eager to pick it up

(Yahoo!) - Cissy Houston’s new book, Remembering Whitney, hit shelves last week – and there is one person who was in no rush to pick it up: her granddaughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown.

In fact, the 19-year-old has been petitioning her late mother’s fans to boycott the memoir on Twitter. Days after it was released, Bobbi Kristina told her 120,000 followers on January 31 that she has “NOTHING” to do with her grandmother’s book. “Haven't read&won't,” she added.

A few minutes later, she continued, “find it 2B Disrespect2MYMOTHER & me being HERDAUGHTER won't tolerate it … I KNOW THE TRUTH . HER [Cissy].... #Oblivious &#OUTOFLINEWRONG. But it's all good & nothing but love, MYMOTHER taught ME better than that.”

Since then, Bobbi Kristina has been re-tweeting her supporters, who have agreed not to buy Cissy’s book – and for those who have dared to challenge her, she’s blocked them on the social network. It’s been a bumpy ride for Cissy and her strong-willed granddaughter ever since the “I Will Always Love You” singer died last February 11 at the age of 48. While the 79-year-old has been in New Jersey near her son Gary and his family, Bobbi Kristina has been living in Atlanta with her “adopted” brother-turned-lover, Nick Gordon – and that has created a ton of tension in the family, as evidenced on their Lifetime reality series, “The Houstons: On Our Own.” .
