(UPI) - Team Blake's Cassadee Pope was crowned the winner of singing competition series "The Voice" in Los Angeles Tuesday night. It is the second season in a row Blake Shelton had been victorious - his contestant, Jermaine Paul, won season two.
Terry McDermott, also of Team Blake, was this season's runner-up, while Team Cee Lo's Nicholas David came in third.
Performing on the third season finale were Rihanna, Kelly Clarkson, Bruno Mars, Avril Lavigne and the Killers.
Season 4 debuts March 25, with Shakira and Usher filling coaching spots vacated by Christina and Cee Lo.
