Do Madonna and Lady Gaga have like a gentlewoman’s agreement to say something mean and sniping about one another every four months or so to make sure that both are kept in the headlines for their respective tours and album releases? Even if not, that’s certainly the end result, as it seems like a good three times a year, one will say something about the other that’s kinda snide and low, but mask it with a thin veneer of professional respect to prevent from coming off as an outright dis.
It’s a martial art that both artists are proficient in, though perhaps Madonna a little more so, having been around an additional 28 years and all. She most recently re-ignited the not-feud in an audience address at a gig in St. Paul, divulging an interesting detail in the process:
I have the best fans in the whole world. So take that, Lady Gaga! You know, I invited her onstage to sing with me. But, she turned me down. It’s okay. I’ve been rejected before. It builds a little character.
