You'd never believe what this women did to surprise her husband while he was deployed for an entire year! Army wife Misty Schaffer dropped 100 pounds while her husband was deployed in Afghanistan for a year. Misty said she started eating healthy, watching her portions and stopped eating ice cream all the time to go from 254 lbs to a sleek 150 lbs. She surprised her husband by only sending him pictures from the shoulders up while he was deployed and when he saw her he said that Misty was literally “half the person she used to be."

Canadian singer Alexis Normand redefined the meaning of butchering a song when she sang the National Anthem at the 2013 Memorial Cup. She starts off singing our anthem confidently, but 49 seconds in we’re not even sure she’s speaking English. By the end of the song the audience was helping her out. In her defense she was asked the day before to sing the song on live T.V. and had only 24 hours to learn the lyrics, but in America’s defense the lyrics aren’t that difficult.

As most of you have heard, Phoenix tragically lost a Firefighter and a Police Officer over the weekend in the line of duty. After hearing about the families of these men, and more specifically how Officer Raetz left behind a 5 year old, it hit Mathew close to home because he has a kindergartner as well.

So, without hesitation, we knew we wanted to help. We have teamed up with the 100 club to help raise money but we wanted to take it another step further, but our question to you is, how can we help the families of these men.
