MAROON 5 SET FOR JAZZ FEST:

Maroon 5 have signed on to appear at this year's annual New Orleans Jazz Fest. The band will give a headlining performance at the event, which is set to take place at the New Orleans Fair Grounds over two weekends...April 26-28 and May 2-5. The annual event pulls together an eclectic mix of artists, from international superstars to local up-and-comers.

JOHN MAYER MAY PROPOSE TO KATY PERRY:

A source tells Showbiz Spy, “John really likes the fact that Katy is so independent and not needy and clingy like the other girls he’s dated. This is the first time John’s felt so strongly about a girl. She’s played her cards perfectly. They really do bring out the best in each other. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if he proposed. John has given her the confidence to jump out of the rat race. With John, she feels like herself. She wants to nest. She’s gained a few pounds, is taking a much-needed break from work and perhaps is even getting her mind and body ready for pregnancy.”

CYNDI LAUPER LAUNCHES NEW REALITY SHOW:

Cyndi Lauper has a new reality show, She's So Unusual, on the WE network. The program's title is a nod to her 1984 debut album of the same name. "I never thought I was different" she told The Hollywood Reporter of the new program. "I always thought everybody else was." Lauper added that adjusting to having cameras follow her around was not difficult: "I usually do anyway because I'm a celebrity and am always doing a lot of different things and a lot of work, so I'm kind of used to it."

The show, which premiered January 12, centers on Cyndi's day-to-day life from writing her new play, Kinky Boots, to her charitable work, to her kicking back with her husband, actor David Thornton and 14-year-old son Declyn.
