Taylor Swift is probably consoling her new beau Harry Styles. Harry's band One Direction failed to earn a single Grammy nomination, despite their worldwide popularity. Justin Bieber and PSY were also completely snubbed.
Taylor only earned one nomination; her break-up anthem "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" is up for Record of the Year. Her new album, "Red," won't be eligible until 2014.
Rihanna was shut out from the major categories, only earning nods for pop solo performance for "Where Have You Been," rap-sung collaboration nomination with mentor Jay-Z for "Talk That Talk" and short-form music video for "We Found Love."
The top nominees? A mix of veterans and newcomers: Jay-Z, Kanye West, Fun., Mumford & Sons, Frank Ocean and The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach all earned six nods a piece.
Kelly Clarkson had a bit of a resurgence with four noms; her hit "Stronger" was nominated for both Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
