If you didn't know already for almost a year now I have been growing my hair out for Locks of Love.  If you don't know what that is it's an organization that uses donated human hair to make wigs for children suffering with cancer.  I kept it quiet for a while because I didn't feel the need to talk about it, but as it's gotten longer I had to start telling people.  My inspiration was the story of a young man who was suspended from his private school because the long hair was a violation of their dress code.

Meet Zachary Aufderheide.  Another highschooler who's also growing his hair out for Locks of Love.  He was given an ultimatum to cut the hair, or face in-school suspension (whatever the hell that means).  After attending a school board meeting to ask they let him finish what he started the board unanimously voted no without explanation and after the meeting applauded him for what he's doing.

. . . Oh I forgot to mention he has less than 1 inch to grow to meet the required 10 inches to donate.

Zachary says his inspiration was because he was picked on as a child and wanted to help sick children who have lost their hair avoid being teased. . . As someone who was also picked on for being different I understand that feeling all too well.

LESS THAN AN INCH!!!  WTF!!!  He's been growing his hair for well over a year and now the school board. . . I'm sorry. . the FU@#ING BULLIES PULL THIS S#!T!!! Zachary you stick to your guns.  You have become another part of my inspiration.  I got your back.
