I actually started with Rio when I was still in High School. At the time, you were allowed to take English 101 and 102 and have it count for the high school English requirement AND earn college credit as well! Even though I was just a kid, I was in charge of getting myself enrolled, paying for it, and actually taking the classes. The counselors and staff were easy to work with and guided me along the enrollment process. The professors were helpful and knowledgeable too. I had such a good experience with those early classes that I came back to Rio Salado a couple years after high school. This time I was married and supporting my husband while he was going to school. We lived out of state so I again attended classes online. I was easily able to transfer some credits I earned along the way and eventually locked up a degree!
