My name is Adrienne and I love my job. After I graduated from college (the first time) with a degree in psychology, I worked as a manager in the business world. I was selling products I didn't really believe in. Then I found Rio Salado College. I was interested in being a math teacher but didn't know how it would be possible to go back to school because I needed to work full time to pay my bills. With Rio Salado's teacher-in-residence program, I was able to work full time as a teacher while I earned my post-baccalaureate degree in Secondary Education. Now I am able to sell something I truly believe in - math - to an audience I love - middle school students. I am and eighth grade math teacher and I also teach high school math courses online. In addition, I was able to work with the same school district I graduated from because my district was a participant with the teacher-in-residence program. I regularly tell my students, if they make the effort they too can have a job they love. Rio Salado makes the impossible possible.
