Basically, when I was in high school I had the realization that I needed to do something different and get out and explore. The main option I was looking into was studying abroad. This was easier said than done. Through my high school I got college credit through Dual- Enrollment courses, and was able to jump ahead and graduate high school in three years. After that, I went abroad to Switzerland and had the time of my life! By the time I got back, it was time to enroll in college and start out my university life at NAU in Flagstaff. Without the transfer credits I got through Rio Solado College, I wouldn't have been as near as far as I am today. The transfer credits helped me get a head start and actually help me finish my bachelors degree early as well. I am in my 3rd semester at NAU and am already going to be graduating in December of 2011, and for my family, I know dragging out my schooling is the last thing that we need. Also since I saved money through Rio Solado, I am able to go abroad once more for my last semester back to Switzerland to finish up my Bachelor of the Arts in German. Thanks you Rio! I couldn't have done it without you!
