My name is Stephanie Cavalletto. I was a Flight Attendant for fourteen years. I wanted to stop flying but I knew it was going to be a difficult transition changing careers. I had a bachelor's degree from Cal State Fullerton in Public Relations and with that was offered a Special Education Teaching position under an emergency certification. The condition with the school district and state department was that it take me a maximum of three years to finish my education classes. I chose Rio because of the flexibility as well as the expense. I had already paid for one bachelor's and could not afford a state university. Rio's classes are very affordable in comparison and I could work on coursework at my pace. I have taken enough credits to get my Special Education certificate and just have two classes at Rio left. I am now in my fourth year teaching Special Education Science to 7th and 8th graders at Highland Junior High in Gilbert. I have to say that I always received good feedback and professionalism from their instructors. I could not have made it without their support.
