I started taking classes for their Chemical Dependency program. I completed 64 credits hours and I am a certified subtance abuse counselor, Level I and II. I was able to work fulltime and take care of my children at that same time of going to school. Rio allowed me the flexibilty I needed to get an education and take care of myself and children financially while working. I wouldnt have been able to work and take care of kids and go to in classroom classes at that time in my life. It took me a little longer, but the classes were offered at a pace and with the classes starting every two weeks, it helped with my schedule. I cant say enough about how Rio and my commitment changed my life. I work at a substance abuse , mental health facility and love doing what I do. I could get on the computer do work and then cook dinner, spend time with family and then get back on computer. The instructors were always available and the staff at Rio really cared and listened to me when I had questions. I started taking classes back in 2004, and they let me work at a pace that was right for me. Thanks to Rio I now have a great job and I am ceritfied, however I now attend another college to further my education. I would recommend Rio to anyone who wants great education, but needs the flexibility that I did. Signed, |
