My Rio Salado has been AMAZING! I had to take a leave of absence from ASU because of a cancer diagnosis. I heard from my advisor that Rio is an online college. I decided to sign up for classes and I am so glad that I did. I have taken 28 credit hours this year through Rio and have had the most enjoyable experience! The professors and advisors at Rio are extremely understanding and very helpful to their students. Under my circumstances, I would fall so far behind in my school work and the professors were willing to give me extensions and were there to answer any of questions. The professors always gave me adequate and timely feedback on my tests, projects, and/or assignments no matter how my grade turned out on them. At ASU my professors did not work with me when I became ill and I failed a couple classes as a result of it, but here at Rio the professors are willing to do anything to help their students succeed and that was what I needed most during my cancer experience. I am very grateful to Rio Salado, the advisors, and the professors! I, for one, will always encourage others to take classes through Rio Salado because they have made it possible for me to continue my dream of becoming a math educator and return to Arizona State University! Thank you Rio Salado!
